IS THE HYPOGEN DEVICE EPA REGISTERED?

The EPA does not register devices. The EPA registers solutions. ChlorKing has an EPA registered (82229-1) HOCl solution.

WHAT KIND OF ACID DOES THE SYSTEM USE?

The acid is in the form of vinegar. Vinegar dilution ratios are: one-part water: one-part vinegar to achieve 15%

WHAT DOES THE HYPOGEN USE TO MAKE THE HYPOCHLOROUS ACID (HOCl)?

Water, electricity, vinegar, and salt. 99.9% of the solution made is water and 0.1% hypochlorous acid (HOCl).

DO I NEED TO HANDLE THE SOLUTION USING PPE?

No PPE is required to handle the HOCl.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR THE HYPOGEN TO PRODUCE A GALLON OF HOCL?

Approx. 8 cents per gallon!

HOW IS THE HYPOGEN SHIPPED?

The HYPOGEN is shipped in a secure wooden crate. Standard shipping is FOB, Atlanta GA.

WHAT POWER IS NECESSARY TO RUN THE HYPOGEN?

For the HYPOGEN models 2.0 and 5.0, the unit is wired for a US style plug, 110V, 50/60 Hz. For the HYPOGEN 25.0 model, a 208v breaker connection is required (single phase).

DOES THE HYPOGEN REQUIRE VENT LINES?

The HYPOGEN models 2.0 and 5.0 do not require a dedicated vent line, but must be placed in a well ventilated area. For the HYPOGEN 25.0 model, a dedicated vent line is required.

HOW IS THE HOCL STORED?

The HYPOGEN system comes with a 20-gallon storage tank that is automatically controlled with level sensors.

HOW LONG DOES THE HYPOGEN UNIT TAKE TO SETUP?

From uncrating to producing solution, the unit typically takes an average of 2-3 hours.

DOES THE HYPOGEN SYSTEM REQUIRE SPECIAL WATER?

The HYPOGEN system runs on regular tap water. In special cases where the water quality is atypical, adjustments can be made to the factory settings.

WHAT IS THE PH VALUE OF THE HOCL SOLUTION?

The HOCl solution pH can be produced within the range of 4.0 - 7.0
